Another Salem

A new Salem found by “A lively hope”, a Youtuber, who made the following video reveals something pretty amazing when you zoom down to the exact intersection of the two solar eclipses:

• The paths of totality will cross over Makanda, Illinois, known as the “Star of Egypt”.

• When zooming in on the exact intersection it was discovered that within 500 to 600 meters southeast there is a Salem Road, thus adding to our total count from 19 to 20 Salems.

  • Note: Per Xavier M. Jubier, the paths are estimates, and can vary by ~500 meters due to the Delta-T of the earth’s rotational velocity. So there is a variance of ~500 meters. Would it be divine intervention if the intersection shifts to Salem Rd?

Cross of Peace

I was then notified on social media² by another reader that a cross sits on this mountain just a 30 minute drive southwest of Salem Road. This huge cross is known as the Bald Knob Hill Cross of Peace:

Among the foothills of the Ozark Mountain range that stretch into Union County and southern Illinois, rises a beacon, a monument of peace, faith, charity, and of hope.

Towering above the landscape at over 111 feet, and visible for over 7,500 square miles, this is the Bald Knob Cross of Peace – one of the largest crosses in the United States.

Bald Knob Cross is situated in the Shawnee National Forest near the small town of Alto Pass, Illinois. BK Mountain itself towers 1000 feet above sea level.

But how did a mountaintop in rural southern Illinois become first the site of an annual sunrise service, and later the location of an 111 foot cross? The story begins in the spring of 1936…³

So this huge cross was built far before the total solar eclipses.

In Summary

• A “Cross of Peace”, 111 feet high, visible over 7500 square miles, is where people will be able to view the Great Solar Eclipses of 2017 and 2024 from Bald Knob Hill.

• The “Cross of Peace” is located within a 30 min drive of Salem Rd making 20 Salems in the path of the Great Solar Eclipses of 2017 and 2024.

• Salem is the ancient name of Jerusalem

• Salem means "Peaceful” in Hebrew

• Shalom Shalom in Hebrew is used as a double blessing
